Optimal protection from UV gel stains with a work apron
To create the best possible nail design, a nail designer must run through a variety of steps. As part of this the designer comes into contact with many different liquids and UV gels, which can stain clothing if they come into contact with it. To prevent this annoyance, nail artists in professional nail salons wear work aprons to protect their own clothes while doing manicures or applying artificial nails. To guarantee optimal protection from chemical products such as cleaner, nail polish remover or UV gel, the work aprons are often made of the thermoplastic polyvinyl chloride, also known as PVC. The use of PVC makes sure that no liquids or UV gels come into contact with clothing. Nails & Beauty Factory also recommends that customers wear a work apron when having their nails painted or worked on with nail gels.
Work aprons for your own manicure?
The risk of damaging your clothing with UV gels or nail cleaner is often underestimated when it comes to doing your own nails. When doing artificial nail modelling or manicures at home you should pay close attention to protecting your own clothing. Nothing is more annoying than a UV gel stain on your new jeans or a drop of primer on your new sweater. To prevent this kind of annoyance while working on your gel nails you should wear a work apron to protect yourself. We offer work aprons, both for private and professional use, that offer perfect protection against any damage to your clothes from nail gel products used during nail modelling.
Fabric or PVC work aprons?
When selecting work aprons to use during nail art, you should make sure that they are waterproof and can be cleaned easily. Chemical substances can penetrate fabric quickly, but this is not the case with PVC work aprons. This is why fabric work aprons are not ideal for use in nail modelling. If, for example, a little cleaner is accidentally spilled, this would go directly through a fabric apron. You might also not be able to get UV gel stains out of the fabric, which means that the apron won't look nice after a couple of uses. That's why we recommend making sure that any work aprons you purchase are made of PVC. Then you can simply wash off any UV gel stains with a little water, without affecting the apron.
